The Madison Board of Education has approved a school survey measuring students' drug and alcohol use in middle school and high school. This survey is being conducted by the Madison Chatham Coalition. Please click the link below to view a copy of the survey questions. Chatham School District is participating in this survey as well.
The survey is completely anonymous and voluntary. It measures the incidence and prevalence of substance use, delinquency, related problem behaviors, and the risk and predictive factors that impact those problems in communities. The results of the survey will be used by the Madison Chatham Coalition in conjunction with Madison Public School personnel to address school culture and climate related to those areas.
Parental permission is required for students to participate. In an effort to get the highest number of participants, all parents will need to respond to a permission slip that can be accessed by signing into your Genesis parent portal account. Accordingly, as of Thursday, in order to access the Genesis parent portal you will be required to respond yes or no to your child’s participation in the survey.
