Parking at MRC
The Borough of Madison will be closing the MRC parking lot for an 8-week period (December 2nd - January 24th) to allow for civil work and steel installation of a carport.  During this time and until we receive permission from the Borough, no student will be permitted to park at MRC.  Arrangements are being made to have limited, assigned spaces available on campus for 11th grade students with licenses in addition to those already available on Ridgedale Avenue.

Recognitions
The fall athletic season officially came to an end this past weekend, but not without some hardware.  Congratulations to our Girls Volleyball team for defeating Hoboken in straight sets to earn the Central Jersey Group I State Section Championship.  This was followed up by Girls Soccer defeating Bernards in overtime to win the North II Group II State Section Championship.

Individual congratulations are also needed as junior soccer player Anna Gominiak set the single season Madison High School scoring record during the state tournament and finished the year with 19 goals.  Finally, senior runner Jake Nolan took 16th at Meet of Champions.  In that race he secured the fastest time in Morris County this year, 16:10.50, and earned an opportunity to compete at the Nike Cross Country Northeast Regional in Wappingers Falls, NY

Winter Chorus & Orchestra Concert
The MHS Music Department invites families and community members to the Winter Chorus & Orchestra Concert on Wednesday, December 11th at 7:00 pm in the Madison High School Auditorium.  Best of luck to all of our performers!

Key Club Students Change Hunger
Nearly 1 million people in New Jersey are food insecure, including over 260,000 children.  This means that 1 in 11 adults, and 1 in 8 kids doesn't know where their next meal is coming from.  Overall, this is a 22% increase since last year and for kids it's a 33% increase.  The Community Food Bank of New Jersey is challenging all students, staff, teachers, and parents to think of those less fortunate by organizing a food drive and collecting as much food as possible to support those who need it most.  We encourage all students to bring non-perishable food items to Room A-1 through January 3rd.  If you prefer to give online to our fundraiser, please use the following link: https://give.cfbnj.org/team/608706

AP Exam Payments
Any student enrolled in an AP class, should have received a join code from their AP teacher to join their AP Classroom.  Students should log into their College Board account to make sure they see all of their AP classes listed.  All students enrolled in an AP class must sit for the AP exam.  All payments are due by January 2nd.  Head to the guidance department webpage for directions on how to make an AP payment through rSchoolToday.  Please see Ms. Internicola or your guidance counselor with any questions.
