Spring Sports “Meet the Coaches”
Mr. Scheifler and the Athletic Department welcome all parents of a spring athlete (B&G Lacrosse, B&G Track, B&G Golf, Baseball, Softball, and Boys Tennis) to meet their child's coaches on Tuesday, March 4th at 6:30 pm.  The event will begin in the MHS Media Center before breaking out into smaller groups by team.

MHS Theatre Presents, “Sister Act”
The Madison High School Dramatic Dodgers are excited to present this year’s spring musical, "Sister Act".  Showtimes are as follows:

  • Thursday, March 6th @ 6:30 pm

  • Friday, March 7th @ 7:30 pm

  • Saturday, March 8th @ 2:00 pm

  • Saturday, March 8th @ 7:30 pm

All performances will be held in the John H. Bunnell Auditorium at Madison High School.  Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased on the Madison Public Schools Box Office

Student Government Tricky Tray
The annual MHS Tricky Tray is quickly approaching and the Student Government invites you to attend! New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA)
The NJGPA is a state issued assessment for 11th grade students.  It will be administered over four days beginning on Monday, March 10th.  Please review the linked letter that contains several important reminders about testing for 11th grade students and about the bell schedule being run to accommodate testing.

11th Grade In-School SAT and Prep Course
The deadline for 11th grade students to register for an optional, in-school SAT on Wednesday, April 9th is Friday, March 7th.  Please click this link for a letter from Ms. Internicola on how to register. 

Seal of Biliteracy Accolades
Seal of Biliteracy Testing for Level V World Language Students occurred on January 21st and 22nd.  By achieving the Seal of Biliteracy, students demonstrate that they are able to speak, read, comprehend, and write in two or more languages at a high level of proficiency.  The seal will be placed on their Madison High School Transcript.  Congratulations to the following students who achieved the Seal of Biliteracy:

Achievements & Accolades

  • MHS students attended the 2025 Harvard Model Congress in Boston last weekend.  Congratulations to seniors Luke Cimino and Max Bauman for winning the coveted “gavel awards” and Macey Arnold, Meredith McKeever, and Aiden Shah for earning honorable mentions in their respective committees.

  • Congratulations to junior Gavin Randall for scoring his 1000th point in a regular season contest versus Newark Tech on Saturday, February 22nd.  

America’s Field Trip
America’s Field Trip is a nationwide student contest sponsored by America250, the official nonpartisan entity charged by Congress with planning the nation’s Semiquincentennial in 2026, also known as the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.  America’s Field Trip invites students in grades 3–12 to be part of this historic milestone by sharing their perspectives on what America means to them — with the chance to earn a once-in-a-lifetime field trip experience at an iconic American landmark or cultural site, including the Smithsonian’s National Zoo, National Archives Museum, Kennedy Space Center, and Yellowstone National Park — just to name a few.  If interested and for more information, please click this link.  Applications are due by April 16th.  

Class of 2025 Lawn Signs
As a reminder, the deadline for families to purchase a graduation lawn sign for their senior is March 14th.  Those families interested in purchasing a one for their senior should complete the linked form and follow the instructions within.

Madison Rotary Youth Exchange Program

25-26 Scheduling Resources & Timelines
Planning for the 25-26 school year is underway.  The Madison High School Guidance Department is looking forward to meeting with you and your child in the coming weeks and building a schedule that best fits your child’s needs.  In an effort to help students plan for their upcoming scheduling meetings, we would like to make available a number of important resources and deadlines posted within the 25-26 Scheduling Letter on the MHS homepage.  Two deadlines to be mindful of:

  • Course recommendation appeals deadline - Monday, April 21st / (Friday, May 2nd for current 8th graders)
