❤️Students Change Hunger❤️
MHS Key Club members are hosting the annual Students Change Hunger Food Drive!
38 million Americans are food insecure, meaning they don’t know if they have enough to feed themselves and their families. Over 650,000 live right here in New Jersey. The Community Food Bank of New Jersey is challenging all students, staff, teachers, and parents to think of those less fortunate by organizing a food drive and collecting as much food as possible to support those who need it the most.
Ways to Get Involved:
Drop off nonperishable food items either at the front entrance of the Madison High School from 2:05-3:05 on FRIDAYS from 11/17 - 1/12 or in Classroom A-1 any day of the week.
Donations can also be made online using this link: https://give.cfbnj.org/team/536959

UPCOMING TEST OF THE APPTEGY ALERT SYSTEM:
Dear Madison Parents/Guardians and Staff Members,
On Sunday November 5th at 1:00 PM, we will be testing our Apptegy Alerts system. The Apptegy Alerts system is the system that is used to notify the Madison Public Schools community of events such as snow closings, delayed openings and early dismissals.
The system uses the contact information that is listed for you in Genesis. We ask that you please take a moment to check that information before November 5th.
During the test, a message will be sent to email and text message. The system will also call the contact number that is listed in your account.
If you do not receive these messages, please double check the contact information that is listed for you in Genesis. If the information listed is incorrect, please change it. If the information is correct and you have not received the test message, please reach out to me at lapierrej@madisonnjps.org
Please discuss this email with people you know in the Madison School District community. We want to ensure that as many people as possible are aware of the upcoming test.
Thank you,
John LaPierre

Good Afternoon,
As you have been informed, our district, in collaboration with our support system, continues to monitor the weather. The National Weather Service (NOAA) data indicates the weather on Friday will extend the heat advisory. To provide students, faculty, and staff with a healthy school environment, we will implement a modified schedule on Friday.
Please note the following:
· Each school will follow an early dismissal schedule.
· There will be no PM Pre-K program on both days.
· Each principal will distribute specific information for the school.
· Lunch will not be served on either day.
· If your child participates in sports at MHS, your child will be notified by either the coach, Mr. Drechsel, or Mr. Scheifler.
· There will be before care in the morning, but no after school care on both days.
Thank you,
Johanna S. Ruberto
